  • that would be me, angelene! i do all of the sourcing, cleaning and repairs, photography, listing, shipping, and content, with some appreciated help from my best friend / roommate.

i grew up around vintage. my mother sold it when i was a child, and i’ve now been selling it myself for six years. i think i’ve always been drawn to things that have already lived a life - especially the strange, forgotten, or slightly wounded ones.

the hospital came partly from my own life. i live with a severe mental health disorder that has made conventional work difficult for me, and somewhere along the way, fashion became a livelihood and a little world i could disappear into. the doll hospital motif grew naturally from there. a place for things that are worn, peculiar, imperfect, or simply too special to discard.

i hope the shop can be a small place of escape for other people too - and that the things admitted here eventually leave for another life to be loved, rather than forgotten.
